The Kingdom Business Network was chartered in early 2006 as a ministry to the business community at large.  Our goal is to reach across denominational lines to build a network of people who are interested in “ Marketplace Ministry".

As we define it, Marketplace Ministry is two-fold:

  1.  Reaching The Lost:  We recognize that we, the disciples of Jesus, daily rub shoulders with the lost, the backslidden and the non-committed every day as we go about our daily business. 

Most of our churches will only see 5% of an areas population ever pass through our doors. However, we must all leave the church building every Monday morning and go out and earn a living in some fashion or another. It is now that the Great Commission gets dropped back into our lap . . . every Monday morning.

2.  Building the Kingdom of God:   We believe that for God’s Kingdom to expand on the earth, we must transform the marketplace which puts resources into the hands of God’s people, which allows for the funding, to finance ministry, to transform the world.   Money can be a dirty word in some Christian circles.  Money and prosperity can also be twisted into some “get-rich with Jesus” scams as well. 

We at KBN choose to empower people to have a dream and allow God to bless that dream. We don’t believe in waiting by the mailbox for miracle money to fall from heaven but we do believe that God’s covenant people can prosper, thereby fulfilling the Great Commission with the money that ministry needs to operate!   Many in our area believe that we in Appalachia have suffered too long under a poverty mindset that we inherited from generations past and it is time that God’s people be given permission to have  dream and to prosper in a godly fashion!
